Premium and Ultimate Lifetime customers historically received free replacements for normal eligible revocations. AppTesters honored that approach for ordinary revocations beginning in 2022.
The extraordinary 2025 Apple developer-account event is being handled differently because it affected a very large number of accounts and thousands of certificates at the same time.
Why a discounted payment is required
AppTesters initially attempted to issue free replacements after the event. Rapidly creating and using a large amount of replacement capacity resulted in additional developer-account terminations, while Apple's approval of new developer accounts became stricter and slower.
The current discounted amount helps AppTesters obtain new developer-account capacity and issue the replacement more carefully during this exceptional recovery cycle. It is not a full-price repurchase of your Lifetime plan.
Current replacement pricing for affected certificates is:
- Essential: $12; normal plan price $15
- Premium: $12.50; normal plan price $25
- Ultimate: $25; normal plan price $50
Premium and Ultimate replacements are therefore offered at 50% below their normal plan prices.
Does this change my Lifetime plan?
No. Purchasing a discounted replacement does not cancel your Lifetime plan, restart its term, or convert it into a yearly subscription. Your plan remains a Lifetime plan for the registered device under the applicable terms.
Will I need to pay again next year?
The discounted requirement is a temporary measure connected to recovery from the extraordinary 2025 event, not a new annual replacement fee. AppTesters intends normal free replacement handling to resume for ordinary eligible revocations once this exceptional cycle is behind us.
If the discounted replacement later experiences a normal eligible revocation, Premium or Ultimate revoke protection continues to apply. Another ecosystem-wide Apple event of similar scale may need to be evaluated separately.
No service can guarantee that Apple will never revoke a certificate. Since January 2026, AppTesters has delivered 1,500+ certificates through its current setup with no revocations reported so far, but this does not guarantee future results.
