For a standard AppTesters certificate order, AppTesters does not need your Apple ID password or two-factor authentication code. The certificate is prepared for the device UDID submitted with the order.
Your Apple ID and your AppTesters account serve different purposes. Your Apple ID is used for Apple's own services on your device. Your AppTesters email identifies your AppTesters account, orders, support history, and notifications.
What information may be required?
Depending on the order or support request, AppTesters may need:
- Your AppTesters account or order email
- The device UDID
- The order number or order status
- Device model and iOS or iPadOS version
- A screenshot of a certificate or installation error
Never send an Apple ID password, one-time verification code, recovery key, device passcode, or payment-card details through support chat or email.
Can I use the same email for more than one device?
The same AppTesters account email may generally be used to manage more than one order, but every device remains identified by its own UDID and requires its own applicable registration or coverage. Sharing an email address does not make a certificate transferable between devices. Any device change must follow the plan-specific policy and requires registration of the new UDID.
If the account interface does not show an expected device or order, contact support with the relevant order email and UDID instead of creating multiple conflicting account records.
If anyone asks for your Apple ID password or verification code while claiming to provide routine AppTesters certificate support, stop and contact AppTesters through the official contact page.
